Source Magazine Publication Opportunity

Tuesday, Sep 21st, 2004 in News Archive, Photography News by Alan Murphy | Comment

One of the established sections in Source is the pages of work by individual photographers and artists working with photography. Each person’s work is published over approximately eight pages and is drawn from one coherent body of work. The magazine publishes a variety of photographs from across fine art and documentary practise.

Source is always interested in seeing new work for consideration for publication. One of the ways that Source finds work for publication is by organising days for people to come and show us their work in person. Artists who attend make specific proposals for publication or introduce us to their new work more generally. Source organises these days on an ongoing basis and the ‘publication opportunity’ days are advertised in each issue of Source and in the mailouts of the host arts organisations. The next days are Sirius Arts Centre Cobh Co. Cork Saturday 9th October and The Gallery of Photography Dublin Saturday 3oth October.
