After a season of laziness and renewal it’s comforting to return to base to discover i was not missed. Attended the Abbey Theatre special meeting to record the moment for the archives and met a cluster of collegues assigned to capture the moment. Standing well back i observed Eithne Healy giving an end of meeting interview to the group. To my amazement a TV cameraman pushed so close to Eithne that his lens was aprox 9 inches from her face. Eithne’s attitude was calmness and grace and so was the response of my collegues. One politely requested that he move back and allow a clear view of the subject. This new protocall is very worrying. In my day he would have received a k**k in the ****.
