Summer sunshine Wedding – Wedding photography in Castle Dargan
Couple: Lorraine & Chris
Wedding ceremony: Carraroe
Wedding photography in Castle Dargan by Mark
June 1st, first day of official summer, and yes it was sunny & warm in Sligo for Lorraine & Chris‘ wedding! This was a super enjoyable wedding to shoot, and right from the moment I arrived at the girls’ house in the morning, I don’t think Lorraine stopped smiling all day! With all the locations within 5-10 minutes from each other, the whole day ran smoothly and on time.
With a family friend overseeing the wonderful, relaxed ceremony, we got all the family formal pictures nice & quickly in the shade of Carraroe church before making our way to the always great Castle Dargan – I would say that having got married there myself!! Aside from having got married in Castle Dargan myself, I love the venue because of the lovely open shade which is perfect for photos, and the couple are never far away from their guests. While we waited for all of the guests to arrive, myself & the bridal party got all the relaxed portraits done quickly, so Lorraine & Chris were able to enjoy the full wedding reception in the glorious sunshine of the courtyard, and this allowed me to capture some great moments and get all the bride & grooms friends together for some quick shots.
